Using Nutrition & Hydration Week to highlight the important role berries can play as part of a healthy, balanced diet.

As consumer interest in health and wellness continues to grow, we are focusing on how berries can support everyday wellbeing through natural nutrition, convenience and great taste. This year we are bringing a more benefit-led approach into the berry category, helping consumers better understand how different berries can support various health goals.

To support this, we have developed our Big 6 for 2026 insight report, which explores key health priorities including immunity, hydration, gut health, mental wellbeing and weight management. The report links these trends to the nutritional strengths of different berries and forms part of our wider strategy to educate consumers on the benefits of fresh berries.

We recently brought this thinking to life at Fruit Logistica in Berlin, where we invited visitors to share their biggest health concerns and learn how berries could help support their goals. Immunity came out as a leading priority, showing just how relevant health focused messaging is for the berry category.

Berries offer a strong combination of flavour, nutrition and convenience. Strawberries and raspberries are naturally rich in vitamin C, high in folate and provide fibre. Blueberries are low in calories, high in fibre and a natural source of vitamin K. Blackberries offer fibre, folate, vitamin C, vitamin K and vitamin E.

At BerryWorld, we believe berries have a strong role to play in supporting healthier choices, whether that is through immune support, digestion, bone health or everyday snacking. By connecting health benefits with great tasting fruit, we want to help more people see berries as a simple and enjoyable part of daily life.

We are also proud to sponsor this week’s Fruitnet Berry Congress in London, which begins on Thursday 19 March.
