Busby Partners

A proper Midlands family farm

Busby Partners is a family run fruit farm, growing beautifully flavoured strawberries and raspberries under those marvellous Midlands skies. It's the kind of farm where the family name on the gate really does mean something, with John, Robert, Phillip and Nicky Busby all working as partners in the business.

What started as a smaller family operation has flourished into something far bigger over the years. The Busbys have grown the farm steadily and thoughtfully, and that careful, considered approach shows up in every punnet. Gorgeously glossy strawberries and subtly sweet raspberries, picked with real pride.

Bees, biodiversity and a jar or two of honey

Look beyond the rows of berries and you'll find another lovely little detail. The Busby team make their own honey on the farm, a delicious sign of just how seriously they take biodiversity. Healthy bees mean a healthy farm, and a healthy farm grows happy berries. Everything connected, everything earning its keep.

It's a small thing that says a lot about how this farm is run. Looking after the land properly, leaving room for nature, and quietly doing the right thing.

Certified, sustainably grown, ethically produced

Busby Partners is independently certified by GlobalG.A.P., Red Tractor, Nurture, LEAF and Sedex. In plain English, that's a strong set of credentials confirming that the berries are grown ethically and sustainably, with real care for the people, the soil and the wider environment.

Edward Vinson, UK

150 years of berry know-how

Some farms have history. Edward Vinson has heritage. For more than 150 years, this Kent based fruit farm has been growing berries in the South East of England, weathering more seasons, sunrises and harvests than most can count. That's an awful lot of berry experience, passed down and built on over the generations.

A century and a half later, Edward Vinson is still doing what it does best, growing beautifully flavoured strawberries and raspberries under those famously sunny Kent skies. The Garden of England, doing what it does best.

Breeding tomorrow's tastiest berries

With such a long history in growing berries, the Edward Vinson team turned their hand to breeding them too. The farm launched its own berry breeding programme back in 1986, and it's been quietly brilliant ever since. The programme has successfully developed a range of varieties that BerryWorld packs exclusively.

Each variety is chosen for one thing above all else: properly delicious flavour. A reminder that great berries don't just happen. They're carefully bred, tried and tested, and grown with real intent.

Certified, sustainably grown, ethically produced

Edward Vinson is independently certified by GlobalG.A.P., Red Tractor, Nurture, Organic, LEAF and Sedex. In plain English, that's a serious set of credentials confirming that the berries are grown ethically, sustainably and organically where appropriate, with real care for the soil, the people and the environment.

Fife Fruits

Berries from the Kingdom of Fife

Fife Fruits grows beautifully flavoured strawberries, raspberries and blackberries in the heart of Scotland's Kingdom of Fife. Based at Tarvit Farm near Cupar, this is a corner of the country that's quietly brilliant for soft fruit. Long summer days, cool nights and a landscape that knows how to grow proper produce.

It's also an ideal spot for getting that fruit where it needs to go. Just far enough to feel rural and unhurried, just close enough to deliver beautifully fresh berries to discerning retailers across Scotland and the wider UK.

A million punnets of goodness

Every year, Fife Fruits produces around 400 tonnes of soft fruit. That's enough to fill more than a million punnets, which is rather a lot of berry shaped moments of joy heading out into the world.

Those berries find their way onto the shelves of the country's most respected grocery retailers, while also being a firm favourite with independent artisan shops local to the farm. National reach, local loyalty, and the same beautifully grown fruit going into both.

Seahills Farm

A farm shaped by the sea

Perched on the rugged east coast of Scotland, a few miles north of Arbroath, Seahills Farm sits next to the historic seaside village of Auchmithie. If the name rings a bell for food lovers, that's because Auchmithie is the original home of the famous Arbroath "Smokie". Good things, it seems, have always come from this stretch of coast.

Seahills spans more than 150 hectares of dramatic cliffs, sea breezes and golden beaches. The land is so rich in natural beauty and wildlife that it's officially recognised as a Site of Special Scientific Interest, a designation reserved for places of real ecological value.

Berries grown with care

Within this remarkable setting, 10 hectares of biomass heated polyhouses produce beautifully flavoured berries year after year. The polyhouses extend the Scottish growing season and the biomass heating helps keep the farm's environmental footprint lighter, so every punnet is a little kinder to the place it came from.

The people behind the punnet

Seahills is farmed by Peter Stirling and his expert team. They know every corner of this coastal patch and they're as passionate about looking after the land as they are about growing fantastic fruit. For Peter and the team, great berries and a thriving farm go hand in hand. Working with nature, not against it, is simply how things are done here.

It's this combination of place, people and patience that gives Seahills berries their character. Properly Scottish, properly cared for, and bursting with berry goodness.

Cobrey Farms

Plump tasty blueberries from the Wye Valley

Cobrey Farms is owned and run by the Chinn family in the rolling countryside of south Herefordshire, where the soft Wye Valley climate and rich Herefordshire soils make for properly brilliant blueberry growing country.

For BerryWorld, that's exactly what the Chinn family do best. Tasty blueberries, grown with real care and packed with flavour, ready to find their way into your morning bowl, your weekend bake or straight from punnet to mouth (we won't tell anyone).

A family farm that knows its fruit

Blueberries may be the headline act for BerryWorld, but they sit alongside a wider mix of crops at Cobrey, including the family's well-known Wye Valley branded asparagus, fine beans and rhubarb. It's a breadth of growing experience that brings real depth of skill to every blueberry bush, with the Chinns understanding the rhythm of the land and the seasons better than most.

Generations of family farming, all working in service of beautifully grown fruit.

Innovation that keeps the berries better

What really sets Cobrey apart is a long-running appetite for getting better. The farm invests heavily in research and development, exploring new varieties and smarter growing techniques to keep their blueberries at their absolute best. That curiosity matters. New varieties mean more flavour, longer seasons and more reasons to reach for another handful.

It's the kind of forward thinking that helps shape the future of British berry growing, and it's a brilliant fit with BerryWorld's own passion for breeding and growing the tastiest berries possible.

Withers Farm, UK

Three generations, one family farm

Withers Farm has a proper story to tell. Established in Ledbury, Herefordshire back in 1958, the farm has been producing berries since 1968, when Allen Leeds set things in motion with a humble 18 acre smallholding of blackcurrants and apples. Strawberries followed shortly afterwards, and a family berry business was born.

When Allen's son George took over, he expanded the farm and brought in new crops. Blueberries were planted for the first time in 2006, and in 2012 Withers pioneered the growing of a brand new fruit on UK soil: the kiwi berry. Not bad going for a farm that started with apples and blackcurrants.

Today, Withers is one of the largest and most modern berry farms in the UK, and the third generation of the family is firmly part of the picture. George's sons Richard and Nicholas are now a vital part of the ever-growing business, carrying the family knowledge forward and shaping what comes next.

Gorgeously glossy strawberries and plump perky blueberries

From June to October, Withers grows beautifully flavoured strawberries and blueberries for BerryWorld lovers to enjoy. After more than half a century of family farming, it's fair to say they know a thing or two about getting berries right. Gorgeously glossy strawberries and plump perky blueberries, grown with the kind of care that only comes from generations of doing it well.

Certified, sustainably grown, ethically produced

Withers Farm is independently certified by GlobalG.A.P., Red Tractor, Nurture, LEAF and Sedex. In plain English, that's a strong set of credentials confirming that the berries are grown ethically and sustainably, with real care for the land, the people and the environment.

Winterwood Farms, UK

From small beginnings to global blueberry specialists

Winterwood Farms is a true family business, owned and run by Stephen Taylor and his wife Jackie. They started out in 1978 as pioneers of British berry growing, becoming one of the very first farms in the UK to grow raspberries and blackberries under polytunnels. A bold move at the time, and one that quietly helped shape the way berries are grown in this country today.

From those small beginnings, Winterwood has grown into something remarkable. The company now spans 12 farms across 4 countries and has become a specialist blueberry producer. Yet despite the global footprint, it's still run as a family business, with Stephen and Jackie at the helm and a brilliant team of dedicated people behind every season.

Plump, perky blueberries grown with real care

Stephen and his team produce a serious amount of plump, perky blueberries for BerryWorld lovers to enjoy. Every variety is chosen for flavour, every berry is handpicked, and every punnet is packed with one simple goal in mind: that little moment of joy when you peel back the lid and reach for the first handful.

That care shows up in the fruit. Sweet, juicy, beautifully blue, and bursting with berry goodness.

The world's largest dedicated soft fruit packhouse

To match the quality of the berries, Winterwood has built something genuinely impressive behind the scenes. Their packhouse handles over 20,000 tonnes of soft fruit and more than 60 million packs every year, making it one of the largest dedicated soft fruit packhouse in the world. Big numbers, all in service of getting beautiful berries into your kitchen at their very best.

Certified, sustainably grown, ethically produced

Winterwood Farms is independently certified by BRC, GlobalG.A.P., Red Tractor, Sedex, LEAF and Nurture. In plain English, that's a serious set of ticks confirming that the berries are grown ethically, sustainably and with proper care for the land, the people and the planet.

The Taskers are well on their way to becoming carbon neutral, and they've been smart about how to get there. The farm runs on a clever mix of renewable power, including an on site wind turbine, solar panels and a biomass boiler. There's even a brand new, state of the art packhouse keeping things efficient from field to punnet.
