This is a lovely flavour combination that goes well with all the Christmas meats, especially turkey, pork and vegetarian nut roasts.
- Heat the oil in a saucepan, add the shallots and cook gently until softened. Add the cranberries, apples, spices, wine and sugar and stir together. Cook until the cranberries and apple have softened and the sauce is a jammy consistency. Leave to cool.
Cooks Tip: Pop some into sterilised jars and give as a lovely home-made Christmas gift. Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
