BerryWorld Blueberries

Introducing Booberries™: Blueberries That Give Back

This October, BerryWorld blueberry punnets are turning pink for a powerful purpose.

Our limited-edition Booberries™ campaign aims to raise awareness and funds for PinkDrive, supporting their work to provide breast cancer education and screening services across South Africa. In partnership with Checkers, we're using the power of everyday purchases to support an important cause.

For every limited-edition punnet sold, BerryWorld and Checkers will donate R2.00 to PinkDrive NPC, with a goal of raising R400,000 during October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month). By combining the health benefits of blueberries with breast health awareness, Booberries™ makes it easy for consumers to support a meaningful cause while enjoying the health benefits of blueberries.

SA Booberries Social A1

A Campaign Designed to Start Conversations

Booberries™ is more than eye-catching pink packaging. It's designed to encourage conversations about breast health and inspire action. By scanning the QR code on pack, consumers can learn more about breast cancer awareness, the importance of self-checking, and access guidance from PinkDrive on how to perform a breast self-examination.

At the heart of the campaign is a simple reminder: "Check Out Your Booberries™." Breast self-awareness helps individuals understand what is normal for them, making it easier to recognise changes and seek medical advice if needed.

By choosing Booberries™, you're helping PinkDrive extend breast cancer awareness and education to more South Africans. Breast cancer remains the most common cancer affecting women in South Africa and early detection can help prolong a life.

Look out for limited-edition Booberries™ punnets, available exclusively at Checkers stores nationwide and on Checkers Sixty60 throughout October 2026.

Make chest checking part of your monthly routine. The more regularly you check, the more confident you will become in knowing what is normal for you and noticing any unusual changes.
Everyone’s chest is different and it can naturally change over time or throughout your menstrual cycle. Understanding your normal rhythm makes it easier to spot anything unusual.
Some changes can only be seen, while others need to be felt. Check your chest, collarbones and underneath your armpits by taking a good look and coppin’ a feel, whatever your gender.
If you notice a change that does not go away after a week, speak to your doctor or healthcare professional. They can assess the change and refer you for further tests if needed.
