Cook these simple and tasty skewers on the BBQ, under the grill or in a grill pan. They are perfect as a starter served with lightly dressed salad leaves.

  • In a medium bowl combine the sesame oil, soy sauce, lime zest and juice, coriander, red pepper flakes and a pinch of salt . Add the prawns to the bowl and toss everything together well and set aside to marinate for about 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the grill, griddle pan or BBQ.
  • Cut the kiwi berries in half. Thread the marinated prawns alternately with the kiwi berries on the skewers and then brush the remaining marinade over the kiwi berries.
  • Place the skewers under the grill or on the BBQ or grill pan and cook for just 1 – 2 minutes each side until golden and cooked through. Serve with a simple green salad.

  • 3 tbsp fresh coriander, finely chopped
