Booberry Ghosts

Perfect for parties, after-school snacks or getting little ones involved in the kitchen. Ripe bananas are dipped in silky white chocolate, decorated with juicy blueberries and almond ‘arms’, then chilled to ghostly perfection. Quick, delicious, and naturally sweet, they’re sure to haunt your snack table in the best way.

Here's how to make the best Halloween snacks for kids

  • Prepare the tray: Line a baking tray with baking paper and clear a space in the fridge for chilling.
  • Shape the ghosts: Peel the bananas, slice each one in half lengthways, and insert a wooden skewer into the base of each piece.
  • Melt the chocolate: Gently melt the white chocolate with the coconut oil or cocoa butter in a heatproof bowl until smooth and glossy.
  • Coat the bananas: Dip each banana half into the melted chocolate to fully coat, then place on the lined tray.
  • Decorate:
    • For the ghosts, press two chocolate chips into each banana for eyes and a blueberry for the mouth. Add flaked almonds to the sides to make little arms.
    • For the cyclops, dip a blueberry into the melted white chocolate and press it onto the banana as a single eye.
  • Chill and serve: Place the tray in the fridge and chill until the chocolate is set. Serve cold and enjoy your spooky creations!
